Acting
Drama-Rama Ages 3 to 6 Tuition: $50 per month 50 minute class that meets once a week. Instructor: Taylor Wallis
This fun class is a great introduction to the magic of theatre. The Young actor explores acting through story telling, animal exercises, Fairy tales and improvisation, as well as voice and movement. This is a wonderful class to build the younger actor's self esteem, by helping them to trust their own unique imagination.

Students learn how to use their own unique qualities to act. Actors learn about wants/objectives, through-line of action, sense memory, place-work, and past circumstances, as well as improvisation, story-telling and theatre games. Students begin to develop a self-confidence that will stay with them wherever they may go, and have a lot of fun in the process!
Students are placed in levels based on age and experience through our audition process. Students enrolling after our auditions will need to schedule a one on one audition/meeting.

IMPROV I, II, III and ADULT IMPROV CLASS Age 6 & up (level placement based on age and experience) Tuition: $65 per month for Level I & $75 for Level II & III & Adult Level I - A 60 minute class that meets once a week, Level II, III & Adult - A 90 minute class that meets once a week Instructor: Tony Daussat
Improv is essential for performers in any field. It is a skill and needs to be nourished, just like any other talent. Improv can help build up confidence, develop spontaneity, increase public speaking ability, ignite creativity, and honestly..... it's just really fun.
Dance
Stretch and Conditioning Ages 7 to 12 & 13 & up Tuition: $65 per month Hour and a half class that meets once a week Instructor: Pamela Langton
This fun and energetic class is designed to help keep you in shape, build up your endurance and includes a variety of different exercises to increase your balance, flexibility and core strength. This will greatly benefit actors working on college auditions, as dance is an important element of many musical theater programs. Building up strength and endurance is important for any actor that wishes to remain in top shape for performances.

Jazz and Musical Theatre Dance Class Levels I, II, & III Age: 8 & up Tuition: $75 per month Hour and a half class once a week Instructor: Pamela Langton
Students will learn the movements and techniques of the standard dance vocabulary through Warm-Up, Across the Floor and Combinations. The Warm-Up will focus on increasing flexibility, building core strength, and perfecting transitions. It also includes basic Ballet tecniques such as plies and tendues. Across the Floor will focus on turns (chaines, piques, and pirouettes), battements, and leaps. Across the Floor helps the dancer build a strong foundation for basic dance techniques. Combinations are done in a wide variety of styles within the Jazz and Musical Theatre genres. Combinations allows the student freedom to make their own decisions within given choreography as well as helps them be more confident to pick up choreography quicker especially in audition situations.

Level I meets for an hour once a week and Level II & III meet for an hour and a half once a week.
Love GLEE? Want to sing and dance and have a great time? Then this is the class for you. Learn proper singing technique while singing fun songs with other students! A great time will be had by all as we recreate songs and dances from our favorite GLEE episodes!

Music Theory Levels I, II & III Ages 6 & up Tuition: $35 per month for Level I and $45 per month for Level II & III
Level I Class is 30 minutes, Level II & III are 60 minutes all levels meet once a week.
Why, you might ask, do you need to learn music theory? Increasing your understanding of how music works and your ability to quickly decipher musical terms and notes can greatly expand your musical options. Whether a singer or an instrumentalist basic knowledge of music can help you immensely. Never again fear or feel frustration at a music rehearsal, instrumentalist learn how to write and score your own tunes - all through learning music theory in this safe, fun environment.
More advanced levels learn chord structure, scales, ear training and figured bass - for students planning on attending college in music or musical theatre knowledge of these items are a must!

Does your little one love to sing, dance and act? Then this is the perfect introductory class for them. Triple Threat Level I, II or III Ages 6 & up Tuition: $75 per month Classes meet for 90 minutes once a week Instructor: Taylor Wallis
In theater language, a Triple Threat Performer is a person who sings well, dances well, acts well and feels confident on stage. From high school stagaes to Broadway, directors look for the actor who can sing and dance; the singer who can dance and act; the dancer who can act and sing. For the past 8 years Ohlook has been known for "growing its own talent" by teaching young people how to sing, dance and act well enough to perform alongside seasoned professionals. Classes will focus on all of the 3 disciplines of Musical Theatre and will culminate in a performance for family and friends at the end of the semester.

For the serious performer that wants to take their skills to the next level. Would you like to have more performing opportunities? This class is our performing troupe that will make appearances around the community as well as work on growing and enhancing your musical theatre skills. Masterclass members also benefit from working with additional instructors that Ohlook brings in through-out the year and perform with professionals in the Christmas Concert in addition to other opportunities. Full year commitment is requested.
