Book by Vera Morris
Music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur

Adapted and dramatized from the stories of Brothers Grimm and Adelheid Humperdinck Wette.

Sent into the woods, Hansel and Gretel meet up with a number of peculiar characters.  A fiery troll guards his little wooden bridge.  Even more, an articulate owl, a forest sprite and two hobgoblins are in the service of an evil (but extremely funny) witch.  She locks poor Hansel in a cage and feeds him nothing but cake!  Everyone will cheer Gretel as she outwits the crone and sets free all the children who have been turned into cookies!  Every dramatic moment is brought to life, from the night spent in the woods to the discovery of the candy-coated little cottage.  Sweetened delightfully with music, all will enjoy the fun of songs like "Gingerbread Witch" and "Apple Muffin Goblins."

Music by Mary Rodgers
Book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller and Marshall Barer
Lyrics by Marshall Barer

If you thought you knew the story of 'The Princess and The Pea,' you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that Lady Larken's love for Sir Harry provided a rather compelling reason that she reach the bridal altar post haste? Or that, in fact, it wasn't the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.

Late Night Series
SCARY MUSICAL
DATES:  TBD

Book by Richard Hochberg
Lyrics and Music by Richard Hochberg and Michael Paternostro

Ohlook has an exclusive agreement with the writer and composers of this "work in progress" to perform an experimental version before it is released to the public.  Director, Jill Lord, will be working closely with book writer and lyricist, Richard Hochberg, during the rehearsal process.  Mr. Hochberg hopes to attend select performances of the production.  This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development stages of this new musical.

With the enormous success of  Scream, Saw, Twilight, High School Musical, Glee and The Hunger Games, the time is ripe to combine the genres. SCARY MUSICAL has all the elements of a classic “scary movie” with an added twist – the characters sing and dance – before, during and after getting killed. With an original pop rock score and a cutting edge script this new age Rocky Horror Show will take you on a bloody and hilarious musical adventure like never before. Fasten your seats belts. It’s going to be a bloody night!!

Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods, and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It's all up to Ash (a housewares employee, turned demon-killing hero), and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. Blood flies. Limbs are dismembered. Demons are telling bad jokes... and all to music.

SPIDER BABY

Dates:  TBD

Original Script: Jack Hill

Adaptation: Enrique Acosta
Music & Lyrics by Enrique Acosta, except lyrics for "I Don't Want to Be Elizabeth" by Helen Acosta & lyrics for "The Kiss" by Lorein Patton

Jack Hill's 1968 cult film of the same name gets the rock show treatment by visionary Enrique Acosta. Spider Baby is about the Merrye family - Ralph, Elizabeth, and Virginia - the last surviving descendants with a degenerative brain disorder, and the family chauffeur, who is also their doting caretaker. Distant relatives appear with their lawyer in tow, looking to take over the family home and send the children away. The presence of these unfamiliar people excite and agitate the Merrye children; uh, oh - trouble brewing! Virginia's particular interest in playing her favorite game of "spider" does not help...
